Not long ago, we received this lovely letter from a new web friend,
Elizabeth, who at the present time is most likely in Afgahistan, protecting
us here at home. Her words made me think of the enormous comfort I derived
when many absolute strangers from around the world came out of the ether on
Sept. 11 and thereafter, to send me words of comfort. I felt the way
Elizabeth does.
Therefore, I dedicate the New Year and the January Home Page to Small
Things. Truly, it is small things that make the difference in life. Tiny
snow flakes, single rainbows, one look of love, a quick hug, the touch of a
hand on your shoulder, a kind word. With small things, we can prevail over
all that would cause us to forget this most simple of life's lesson. My
personal best to all our web visitors and friends in 2002!
---Ann Grogan, President
My dearest Ann,
"Oh, Ann. You are so sweet to keep remembering me. You don't even know who
I am, so that makes it an even greater thing that you are doing.
I want to thank you for your friendship these past weeks. You came out of
the blue and befriended a person you have never met. For that I thank you
and thank God for providing the most interesting things at times of need."
